From the Ground Up: A Generalist's Guide to Aerial Pole
Attire: booty coverage but backs of knees encouraged to be open.
- Requirements include an invert from the ground
- No pole experience necessary, Ages 16+
Structure: Introduction, warm up, stretch, pole warm up, basic climb, resting positions, basic poses, spinning innitiation, transitions, guided home strength drills focusing on core muscles, putting it together, pictures/video, cool down.
Description: This workshop breaks down the daunting nature of the aerial pole throught the eyes of an aerial generalist, whether you're coming from fabrics or vertical apparatuses or dynamic bar. We'll work through resting positions and basic transitionary poses that can be built into sequences later on in your practice. We will touch on a few ways to mount and dismount the pole and put it all together to develop skill retention.
